Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Dispatch police officers and emergency personnel using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Operate multi-channel radio systems and specialized communication equipment
- Provide critical information to first responders during active incidents
- Coordinate with other agencies during multi-jurisdictional emergencies
- Perform data entry and administrative duties with 100% accuracy
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with high accuracy
- Exceptional verbal communication and active listening skills
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure situations with composure
- Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn specialized software
- Availability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
