Responsibilities
- Receive and process incoming emergency and non-emergency calls from the public.
- Enter incident details into Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor radio frequencies and maintain contact with law enforcement, fire, and EMS units in the field.
- Dispatch appropriate emergency services based on established protocols and situation severity.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of all communications and activities.
- Provide support to senior dispatchers during high-volume periods.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid Kentucky driverβs license with a good driving record.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under stressful and high-pressure situations.
- Basic computer literacy and typing proficiency.
