Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough security screenings of passengers, baggage, and cargo using advanced X-ray and detection equipment
- Enforce TSA security protocols while maintaining professional and courteous communication with travelers
- Identify and report suspicious items, threats, or security violations according to established procedures
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel to resolve security incidents
- Maintain accurate documentation of screening activities and security reports
- Operate metal detectors, baggage scanners, and other TSA-mandated technology
- Provide excellent customer service while enforcing security regulations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass TSA-mandated background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn specialized security equipment
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Clear communication skills in English (additional languages a plus)
