Responsibilities
- Process 911 calls and prioritize emergency responses for police, fire, and medical services
- Operate CAD systems and radio equipment during critical incidents
- Maintain accurate incident logs and comply with NIMS protocols
- Coordinate with multiple agencies during major events and disasters
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to callers
- Train on advanced systems like NG911 and regional emergency networks
- Participate in continuous drills and scenario-based training
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- US citizenship and valid Colorado driver's license
- Pass background check, polygraph, and psychological evaluation
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Clear speaking voice with strong diction (no speech impediments)
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
- Basic computer proficiency (Windows OS, Microsoft Office)
