Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls using CAD/RMS systems
- Dispatch police units with precise location and priority details
- Maintain constant radio communication with field units
- Coordinate with fire/EMS during multi-agency incidents
- Enter/update incident data in real-time databases
- Provide pre-arrival emergency medical instructions
- Operate multiple communication channels simultaneously
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass background investigation/polygraph
- Proficient in typing (40+ WPM)
- Clear speaking voice with strong diction
- Ability to handle high-stress situations
- Basic computer literacy (Windows OS)
- Shift flexibility including nights/weekends/holidays
