Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with accuracy and compassion
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS resources using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain radio communication with field units during critical incidents
- Enter and update incident data in real-time databases
- Provide life-saving instructions to callers during emergencies
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major incidents
- Comply with all NENA and state communication protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required (college preferred)
- Typing speed: 40+ WPM (verified assessment required)
- Clear criminal background and drug screen
- Ability to multitask in high-stress environments
- Proficient with computer dispatch systems
- Valid Colorado driver's license
- Fluent English speaker (bilingual Spanish strongly preferred)
- Minimum 18 years of age
