Responsibilities
- Analyze state legislation, regulations, and policy impacts using quantitative/qualitative research methods
- Prepare concise policy briefs, reports, and presentations for executive leadership
- Coordinate with agency stakeholders to identify policy implementation challenges
- Monitor federal and state policy trends affecting Ohio's public services
- Assist in drafting policy recommendations aligned with state strategic goals
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and public feedback analysis
- Support legislative testimony preparation and agency responses
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Economics, or related field
- 2+ years of policy research or government experience (internships accepted)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools
- Strong written/verbal communication with ability to simplify complex concepts
- Knowledge of Ohio state government structure and legislative processes
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines with minimal supervision
- U.S. citizenship and Ohio residency required
- Valid Ohio driver's license (for occasional off-site meetings)
