Responsibilities
- Analyze local legislation and regulatory impacts on community development
- Research emerging urban trends and prepare policy briefings for council members
- Coordinate with community stakeholders to gather public input on proposed initiatives
- Assist in drafting comprehensive policy recommendations aligned with city strategic goals
- Monitor federal and state legislative changes affecting municipal operations
- Maintain accurate databases of policy outcomes and community feedback
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 2+ years of policy analysis or research experience (government preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Exceptional written communication and report-writing skills
- Knowledge of North Carolina municipal governance structures
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- Ability to work 20-25 hours/week with flexible scheduling
