Responsibilities
- Analyze workforce data and economic trends specific to Detroit metropolitan area
- Research and draft policy briefs on employment initiatives and labor market conditions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on grant applications and program implementation
- Conduct stakeholder interviews with community organizations and local businesses
- Prepare quarterly reports on program effectiveness and policy impact metrics
- Support legislative briefings and public comment period documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Urban Studies, or related field
- Minimum 1 year experience in policy research or program evaluation
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SPSS, or R)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of Michigan's labor market landscape
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid Michigan driver's license (for occasional field visits)
