Responsibilities
- Analyze complex state policies and regulations using quantitative/qualitative research methods
- Prepare concise policy briefs, reports, and presentations for executive leadership
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement sessions with community partners and industry groups
- Monitor legislative developments and assess potential impacts on agency priorities
- Support grant application processes and compliance documentation
- Collaborate with data teams to visualize trends and support evidence-based decision making
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Political Science, or related field
- 2+ years experience in policy analysis, research, or government relations
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SPSS, R) and GIS software
- Exceptional written communication skills with portfolio of published reports
- Knowledge of Washington State legislative processes and regulatory frameworks
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Valid Washington State driver's license (may be required for field visits)
