Responsibilities
- Analyze legislative proposals and regulatory impacts on public health initiatives
- Conduct comprehensive research on emerging health equity issues
- Prepare concise policy briefs and executive summaries for decision-makers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on grant-funded health programs
- Monitor federal/state compliance requirements for public health services
- Present findings at public hearings and stakeholder meetings
- Manage quantitative/qualitative datasets using SPSS or R
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Political Science, or related field
- 2+ years policy analysis or public sector experience
- Advanced knowledge of California health regulations (Title 22, HSC)
- Proficient in policy development frameworks and stakeholder engagement
- Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills
- Ability to navigate government procurement processes
- Valid California Driver's License (travel to county sites required)
- US Citizenship or permanent residency status
