Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research on local and federal policies using quantitative and qualitative methods
- Analyze legislative impacts and prepare concise policy briefings for senior officials Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop evidence-based recommendations
- Manage and synthesize large datasets using Excel and statistical software
- Support public engagement initiatives and community outreach programs
- Assist in drafting official reports and memoranda for the Mayor's Office
- Participate in interagency working groups on housing, education, and economic policy
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required
- Strong analytical writing and presentation skills
- Experience with statistical analysis software (SPSS, R, or Stata) preferred
- Understanding of local government structures and policy processes
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
