Responsibilities
- Analyze federal/state/local legislation and regulatory impacts on Houston metropolitan area
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using public datasets and government reports
- Prepare concise policy briefs and executive summaries for senior leadership
- Coordinate with local Houston officials and community stakeholders via virtual platforms
- Support grant application processes for Texas community development programs
- Maintain compliance with Texas Administrative Code and federal reporting standards
- Present research findings to interagency task forces using digital collaboration tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 2 years policy analysis or government research experience
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R) and data visualization tools
- Deep understanding of Texas state/federal legislative processes
- Exceptional written communication with samples of policy documents
- Remote work experience with demonstrated self-management capabilities
- Valid Texas driver's license (for occasional local travel if required)
