Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and develop evidence-based recommendations for state legislation
- Monitor federal and state legislative changes to assess impacts on Arizona residents
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and reports for legislative committees and executive leadership
- Coordinate cross-agency initiatives to streamline state services and improve efficiency
- Present policy analysis results to stakeholders including legislators, agencies, and public forums
- Manage policy implementation projects and evaluate outcomes using quantitative metrics
- Advise on regulatory compliance and best practices in public administration
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of policy analysis or government affairs experience
- Expertise in quantitative/qualitative research methodologies and data analysis
- Deep knowledge of Arizona state government operations and legislative processes
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to simplify complex topics
- Proven experience developing policy recommendations and implementing legislative changes
- Proficiency in policy analysis tools (e.g., R, Stata, or SPSS)
- Valid Arizona driver's license for occasional interagency travel
