Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on current public policy trends, legislation, and regulatory frameworks affecting state operations.
- Prepare concise, high-quality briefing papers, policy memos, and reports for executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Monitor legislative activities and provide timely updates on bills that impact departmental objectives.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings and collaborate with interdepartmental teams to develop strategic policy recommendations.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of existing policies and propose data-driven improvements for operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Economics, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in policy analysis, government relations, or a related administrative role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with data visualization tools preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to government compliance standards.
