Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including sweeping streets, cleaning storm drains, and removing litter from public right-of-ways.
- Assist in park maintenance, landscaping, and the upkeep of public facilities and green spaces.
- Operate light utility vehicles and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Assist with basic construction and maintenance projects, including pothole patching and traffic control support.
- Monitor work areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations and city ordinances.
- Respond to emergency calls and assist in disaster recovery or cleanup efforts as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects and operating machinery.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and outdoor environments.
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures and equipment operation is a plus.
