Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repair on city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems.
- Operate and maintain heavy municipal equipment, including dump trucks, backhoes, and mowers.
- Respond to emergency repair requests and perform snow and ice removal during inclement weather.
- Inspect public facilities and parks to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are stored properly.
- Collaborate with other city departments to support community projects and initiatives.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Valid Oklahoma Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is preferred.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Strong commitment to public service and safety protocols.
