Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and loading/unloading materials.
- Operate and maintain light to medium-duty construction equipment and tools (e.g., backhoes, dump trucks, skid steers).
- Maintain roads, streets, sidewalks, and public parks to ensure safety and aesthetic appeal.
- Assist in the installation and repair of water mains, sewer lines, and storm drains.
- Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company safety protocols at all times.
- Conduct routine inspections of work areas to identify potential hazards or maintenance needs.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate project tasks efficiently.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Valid Class C Virginia Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
- Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or public works is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work overtime, nights, and weekends as needed for project deadlines.
- Willingness to undergo a drug screening and background check.
