Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of streets, alleys, and public rights-of-way.
- Assist in the collection and disposal of trash, recycling, and yard waste.
- Clean storm drains and catch basins to prevent flooding during rain events.
- Operate and maintain light equipment such as brooms, rakes, and hand tools.
- Assist with snow and ice removal operations during winter months.
- Repair or replace damaged signage, guardrails, and traffic control devices.
- Report safety hazards and maintenance issues to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record required.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Basic reading and math skills for following safety instructions and logs.
- Commitment to safety protocols and wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Reliable transportation to and from work locations.
