Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate physical and digital filing systems for various municipal departments.
- Process, index, and retrieve confidential records in accordance with established state and local regulations.
- Assist the Records Department with data entry and the conversion of legacy documents into electronic formats.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering inquiries from the public and internal staff regarding record availability.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and interoffice correspondence efficiently.
- Assist with scheduling and preparing materials for departmental meetings.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; additional experience in a government or corporate office setting is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in administrative support, records management, or a related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn new database software quickly.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work a part-time schedule (approximately 20-25 hours per week) with occasional evening availability.
