Responsibilities
- Accurately maintain and organize public records in compliance with Texas state regulations
- Process and respond to public record requests within legal timeframes
- Digitize and archive documents using county record management systems
- Provide courteous in-person and telephone assistance to citizens and agencies
- Collaborate with departments to ensure consistent record-keeping protocols
- Track inventory and report discrepancies to supervisory staff
- Adhere to all confidentiality and data security policies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred
- Minimum 1 year records management or administrative experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail with proven accuracy in data handling
- Excellent communication skills for public interactions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Basic knowledge of Texas Public Information Act requirements
