Responsibilities
- Provide high-level clerical support and administrative assistance to department staff and leadership.
- Manage incoming communications, including phone calls and emails, with a focus on accuracy and courtesy.
- Prepare, maintain, and organize confidential records and files in compliance with state regulations.
- Assist with data entry, report generation, and formatting of official documents.
- Coordinate meeting schedules, prepare agendas, and take minutes as required.
- Ensure the office maintains a professional environment by adhering to all DPS policies and procedures.
- Support special projects and events as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree or additional college coursework is preferred.
- Previous experience in an office environment or administrative role is highly desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn new software quickly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with the public and staff.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States and pass a background check.
