Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray and imaging equipment to screen passengers and baggage for prohibited items
- Conduct thorough physical screenings and pat-downs following TSA protocols
- Manage checkpoint queues while maintaining efficient passenger flow
- Document security incidents and suspicious activities in accordance with TSA procedures
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergency situations
- Enforce TSA regulations with firmness and professionalism while providing excellent customer service
- Maintain security awareness in high-traffic public environments
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background investigation and drug screening
- Must be willing to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn security technologies
- Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- No felony convictions or disqualifying criminal history
