Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray scanners and walk-through metal detectors to screen passengers and carry-on baggage
- Conduct physical pat-down searches and advanced imaging technology screenings
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes against passenger manifests
- Identify and report suspicious items or activities following TSA protocols
- Maintain orderly checkpoint flow while providing courteous passenger assistance
- Document security incidents and screening activities in required systems
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer proficiency for document verification systems
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and during emergency situations
- Valid U.S. driver's license (if operating airport vehicles)
