Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and packages to residential and commercial addresses along assigned routes
- Sort and organize mail according to delivery sequence and USPS regulations
- Operate USPS vehicles safely and adhere to all traffic laws
- Collect postage due and maintain accurate transaction records
- Interact professionally with customers and resolve delivery inquiries
- Report delivery issues, hazards, or suspicious activities to supervisors
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report maintenance needs
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
- Valid state driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Physical capability to lift up to 70 lbs and stand/walk for 8+ hours
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Basic computer literacy for tracking systems
- Previous delivery or customer service experience preferred
