Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough passenger and baggage screening using advanced X-ray and metal detection equipment
- Enforce TSA security protocols while maintaining courteous passenger interactions
- Identify and report prohibited items according to federal regulations
- Operate airport checkpoint technology including CT scanners and trace detection systems
- Collaborate with law enforcement during security incidents
- Maintain detailed documentation of screening activities and security observations
- Participate in continuous training programs to stay current on security procedures
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass extensive federal background investigation
- Must be available for rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer literacy and communication skills
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and medical evaluation
