Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors to screen passengers and baggage
- Conduct thorough physical searches of individuals and carry-on items
- Verify identification documents and boarding passes for compliance
- Communicate security protocols clearly to travelers with professionalism
- Respond to alarms and resolve security breaches following TSA procedures
- Maintain accurate screening logs and incident reports
- Collaborate with law enforcement during emergency situations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass background check
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Proficient in English with strong communication skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts including early mornings, nights, and weekends
- Basic computer literacy for operating screening equipment
