Responsibilities
- Manage and process pension applications, contributions, and disbursements with high accuracy.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal (ERISA) and state government retirement regulations.
- Communicate complex pension information to retirees, beneficiaries, and government employees.
- Conduct regular audits of pension accounts and data to identify discrepancies.
- Collaborate with HR departments and external actuaries to maintain plan sustainability.
- Assist in the development and update of retirement policy documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Public Administration.
- 3+ years of experience in pension administration, benefits management, or government finance.
- Strong working knowledge of ERISA and state retirement laws.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and ERISA-specific software.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive employee data with the highest level of confidentiality.
