Responsibilities
- Administer pension plans in strict adherence to ERISA, GAAP, and Georgia state retirement regulations
- Process retiree applications, benefit calculations, and distribution payments with precision
- Conduct quarterly audits of pension fund accounts and reconcile discrepancies
- Develop and maintain comprehensive participant records using specialized administration software
- Collaborate with legal counsel and actuarial teams to implement policy updates
- Provide expert guidance to retirees and employees regarding pension eligibility and benefits
- Prepare regulatory reports and financial statements for state oversight bodies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in pension administration, benefits management, or finance
- Certified Pension Administrator (CPA) or QKA designation preferred
- Expertise in ERISA compliance, IRS 401(k) regulations, and Georgia pension statutes
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software and Excel modeling
- Exceptional analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
