Responsibilities
- Administer pension fund investments and compliance with ERISA regulations
- Process retirement applications and calculate benefit disbursements
- Develop financial projections for long-term pension sustainability
- Collaborate with HR departments on employee retirement planning
- Conduct audits and ensure fiduciary compliance with state/federal laws
- Prepare quarterly reports for the State Board of Investment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Public Administration
- 3+ years of pension fund or retirement benefits experience
- Proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Millennium, Empower)
- Series 65 or 63 securities license preferred
- Strong analytical and Excel modeling skills
- Knowledge of Illinois Pension Code and IRS 401(a) regulations
- Ability to manage confidential financial data with discretion
