Responsibilities
- Oversee daily administration of multi-employer pension plans including benefit calculations and disbursements
- Ensure strict adherence to ERISA, IRS, and state regulatory requirements
- Manage participant communications regarding plan provisions and retirement options
- Coordinate with auditors for annual compliance reviews and financial reporting
- Develop and implement process improvements for pension administration workflows
- Collaborate with HR and finance departments on retirement-related initiatives
- Train staff on pension policies and compliance protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of pension plan administration experience
- SPBC (Pension Plan Administration) or CEBS certification preferred
- Proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Millennium, Empower)
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k) regulations, and state pension laws
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to financial detail
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
