Responsibilities
- Administer pension plans including eligibility calculations, benefit distributions, and compliance with ERISA and state regulations
- Manage participant records and communications regarding retirement accounts and plan changes
- Conduct financial analysis and reporting for pension fund performance and liability projections
- Coordinate with auditors and legal counsel for annual compliance reviews and regulatory updates
- Develop educational materials and workshops for employees on retirement planning options
- Process weekly payroll deductions and contributions to pension funds
- Collaborate with HR departments on retirement eligibility and exit processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of pension plan administration or benefits management experience
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS regulations, and Oklahoma state pension laws
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and pension administration software (e.g., Empower, Milliman)
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or Certified Public Pension Administrator (CPPA) preferred
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for financial calculations
- Strong communication skills for explaining complex retirement concepts
- Ability to manage confidential data with high ethical standards
