Responsibilities
- Administer pension plans including benefit calculations, eligibility verification, and retirement counseling
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations (ERISA, ORS) and internal policies
- Process retirement applications, distributions, and member account updates
- Develop educational materials and conduct workshops for members and employers
- Analyze plan data to identify trends and recommend process improvements
- Collaborate with legal, finance, and IT teams on system enhancements
- Respond to complex member inquiries with accurate, timely resolutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration or retirement benefits experience
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS regulations, and Oregon retirement laws
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and pension administration software
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive financial data with confidentiality and precision
- Professional designation (e.g., CEBS, QKA, or CPA) preferred
