Responsibilities
- Administer pension plans, processing retirement applications and benefit calculations
- Conduct eligibility verifications and compliance reviews for retirement accounts
- Respond to participant inquiries via phone, email, and weekend in-person sessions
- Maintain accurate records in state retirement systems databases
- Collaborate with financial institutions on fund transfers and reporting
- Prepare quarterly compliance reports for regulatory agencies
- Train participants on retirement planning and pension options
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension administration or benefits management experience
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS regulations, and Tennessee pension laws
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
- Excellent communication skills with weekend availability
- Professional certification (CEBS, NIPA, or similar) preferred
- Ability to handle confidential data with utmost discretion
- U.S. citizenship and clean background check required
