Responsibilities
- Manage pension fund portfolios including asset allocation, investment monitoring, and compliance reporting
- Process and verify retirement applications, benefit calculations, and disbursements
- Develop and implement pension policy updates aligned with federal/state regulations (ERISA, IRS codes)
- Conduct comprehensive financial modeling and actuarial valuations
- Collaborate with external auditors and legal counsel for annual compliance reviews
- Lead stakeholder communications with retirees, employers, and government agencies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, or related field
- 3+ years pension administration or benefits management experience
- Proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Millennium, FIS PensionPro)
- Strong understanding of ERISA, IRS 415/416 regulations, and public pension governance
- Series 65 or 66 investment advisor license preferred
- Advanced Excel skills with financial modeling capabilities
