Responsibilities
- Administer pension plans for public employees ensuring compliance with Ohio Revised Code and ERISA regulations
- Process daily member transactions including contributions, distributions, and retirement calculations
- Conduct eligibility reviews and benefit calculations for retirement applications
- Develop and maintain accurate pension records using proprietary administration software
- Collaborate with auditors and legal teams to ensure regulatory compliance
- Provide expert guidance to members and employers regarding retirement options
- Analyze pension data trends and prepare comprehensive reports for stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension administration or benefits management experience
- Proficiency with pension administration software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Deep understanding of ERISA, IRS regulations, and Ohio pension laws
- Certified Pension Administrator (CPA) designation preferred
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to handle sensitive financial data with confidentiality
