Responsibilities
- Manage pension fund disbursements and beneficiary communications
- Ensure strict adherence to ERISA, IRS, and Colorado state pension regulations
- Conduct eligibility audits and retirement calculations for municipal employees
- Collaborate with finance department to develop long-term pension fund strategies
- Prepare quarterly compliance reports for municipal oversight committees
- Implement new pension plan provisions as per legislative changes
- Train HR staff on pension enrollment processes and documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Public Administration
- 5+ years of pension fund administration experience
- Advanced proficiency in pension management software (e.g., PeopleAdmin, UltiPro)
- Valid Series 65 or Series 7 securities license preferred
- Deep knowledge of Colorado PERA and federal pension regulations
- CPA or CFA designation strongly preferred
- Experience with multi-employer pension plan administration
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to financial detail
