Responsibilities
- Administer municipal pension plans in strict compliance with ERISA, IRS regulations, and California state laws
- Process retirement applications, calculate benefit payments, and maintain participant records
- Conduct periodic plan audits and financial modeling to ensure long-term solvency
- Provide expert guidance to retirees, beneficiaries, and HR partners on pension policies
- Collaborate with investment teams to monitor fund performance and risk mitigation
- Develop comprehensive reports for stakeholders and regulatory bodies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, or Business Administration
- 5+ years of pension administration or benefits management experience
- Deep knowledge of retirement plan regulations (ERISA, IRC 401(a), CalPERS guidelines)
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software and MS Excel
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder education and conflict resolution
