Responsibilities
- Administer pension plans for government employees including enrollment, distributions, and rollovers
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS regulations, and Arizona state pension laws
- Process retirement applications and calculate benefit payments with precision
- Provide exceptional member support via phone, email, and virtual consultations
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends and improve plan efficiency
- Collaborate with finance and HR teams on retirement policy updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension administration or retirement planning experience
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k)/403(b) regulations, and Arizona pension statutes
- Advanced proficiency in pension management software (e.g., Millennium, Millennium Plus)
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to financial detail
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts (Sat/Sun 6AM-2PM MST)
- Professional certification (CEBS, QKA, or CFP) preferred
