Responsibilities
- Administer defined benefit pension plans for 500,000+ members
- Process retiree applications, benefit calculations, and survivor claims
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS regulations, and Oregon statutes
- Develop and implement member education programs on retirement planning
- Analyze pension fund performance and recommend strategic adjustments
- Collaborate with investment teams on funding strategies
- Maintain accurate member records using Oracle HCM system
- Prepare quarterly reports for the Board of Trustees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, or related field
- 5+ years of pension administration or benefits experience
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or ASPPA designation preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and HRIS systems
- Strong knowledge of ERISA and IRS pension regulations
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage complex member inquiries with empathy
- Experience with public sector pension systems preferred
