- Administer pension plans including eligibility calculations, benefit distributions, and participant communications
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS regulations, and Texas state pension laws
- Maintain accurate participant records using government financial systems
- Conduct benefit audits and prepare annual financial reports
- Respond to participant inquiries and resolve benefit-related issues
- Collaborate with HR and finance departments on pension policy updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration or benefits management experience
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k)/403(b) regulations, and Texas pension laws
- Proficiency with pension administration software (e.g., Millennium, Albridge)
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or similar designation preferred
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to financial detail
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
