Responsibilities
- Manage pension plan enrollment, disbursements, and compliance with ERISA and state regulations
- Process weekly payroll deductions and retirement contributions accurately
- Advise employees on pension options, retirement planning, and benefit calculations
- Maintain participant records using government-approved systems with 99.9% accuracy
- Collaborate with auditors and regulatory bodies during annual compliance reviews
- Develop educational materials for pension plan participants
- Assist in policy updates reflecting new legislation or market changes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration or benefits management experience
- Proficiency in government payroll systems (e.g., WI State HR Portal)
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(a) regulations, and Wisconsin pension statutes
- Certified Pension Administrator (CPA) or SHRM-CP preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail with demonstrated accuracy in financial reporting
- Ability to communicate complex pension concepts to diverse audiences
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background check
