Responsibilities
- Process and validate federal pension claims with 99.7% accuracy following SSA protocols
- Analyze complex retirement benefit calculations using specialized federal software systems
- Communicate with beneficiaries, attorneys, and state agencies regarding pension adjustments
- Conduct audits of pension fund transfers and disbursement records
- Update beneficiary information in federal databases while maintaining strict confidentiality
- Collaborate with Texas-based federal partners on cross-state pension coordination
- Train night shift colleagues on new pension regulations and procedural updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 years' pension administration or federal benefits processing experience
- Proficiency in federal regulations (ERISA, CSRS, FERS) and SSA guidelines
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with pivot table and VLOOKUP capabilities
- Valid U.S. government security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Exceptional problem-solving skills for complex pension calculation scenarios
- Availability to work rotating night shifts including weekends and holidays
