Responsibilities
- Manage pension plan administration for 50,000+ public sector employees
- Process retirement applications and benefit calculations with 99.9% accuracy
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS, and Nevada retirement regulations
- Respond to complex beneficiary inquiries within 24-hour SLA
- Conduct annual plan audits and regulatory reporting
- Collaborate with HR departments on employee pension education
- Utilize pension software (Milliman, Mercer) for data analysis
- Prepare executive-level benefit projections and funding reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, or Public Administration
- 3+ years pension administration or benefits management experience
- Series 65/66 or CFP certification preferred
- Advanced Excel proficiency with VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and macros
- Knowledge of ERISA, PBGC, and state retirement regulations
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours
- Government background check clearance required
