Responsibilities
- Administer Pension Plans: Manage the calculation, processing, and disbursement of retirement benefits and pension contributions for state employees.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all pension activities adhere to strict state laws, FERS regulations, and ERISA guidelines.
- Retiree Support: Provide exceptional customer service to retirees and active employees, answering complex inquiries regarding eligibility and payout options.
- Data Analysis: Utilize advanced Excel and database systems to audit records, identify discrepancies, and generate accurate financial reports.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with HR, payroll, and legal departments to resolve benefit discrepancies and implement policy updates.

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in pension administration, benefits management, or a similar government role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with HRIS or pension administration software.
