Responsibilities
- Manage retirement plan eligibility, enrollment, and benefit disbursement processes
- Calculate pension benefits using complex actuarial formulas and regulatory guidelines
- Maintain accurate participant records and regulatory compliance documentation
- Respond to participant inquiries regarding retirement plans, investments, and vesting schedules
- Collaborate with auditors during annual compliance reviews and financial reporting
- Implement policy updates aligned with ERISA, IRS, and Texas state regulations
- Generate benefit statements and quarterly performance reports for stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration experience in government or regulated environments
- Proficiency with pension administration software (e.g., Millennium, Empower)
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(a)/403(b) regulations, and Texas pension laws
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in financial calculations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder interactions
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Pension Administration Certification preferred
