Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans including CSRS, FERS, and TSP with strict adherence to OPM regulations
- Process retirement applications, survivor benefits, and disability claims with 99% accuracy
- Conduct pension plan audits and compliance reviews across federal agencies
- Develop educational materials for employees on retirement planning and benefits optimization
- Collaborate with OPM and Treasury on policy updates and system integrations
- Manage confidential employee data and financial records under HIPAA/GDPR protocols
- Represent SSA in interagency pension forums and legislative consultations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration experience with federal benefits systems
- Federal Benefits Specialist (FBS) or Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) certification
- Expertise in OPM regulations (5 CFR Ch. 58) and ERISA compliance
- Advanced proficiency in HRConnect, EIS, and BENEFITS software systems
- TS/SCI security clearance with current background investigation
- Exceptional analytical skills for complex benefit calculations and scenario modeling
