Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive examinations of multi-employer and single-employer pension plans to ensure ERISA compliance
- Analyze complex financial statements, actuarial reports, and plan documents to identify regulatory violations
- Investigate participant complaints and plan sponsor deficiencies through on-site audits and document reviews
- Develop corrective action plans and provide technical guidance to plan administrators
- Prepare detailed examination reports with findings, recommendations, and enforcement strategies
- Collaborate with attorneys on legal proceedings and sanctions for non-compliant plans
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of pension plan administration, auditing, or regulatory compliance experience
- Expert knowledge of ERISA, PBGC regulations, and pension accounting standards
- Proficiency in financial analysis software and pension administration systems
- Strong investigative skills with attention to detail in complex financial documents
- Ability to interpret and apply federal regulations to real-world pension scenarios
