Responsibilities
- Administer and optimize federal pension plans ensuring full regulatory compliance
- Process weekly benefit payments and reconcile pension account balances
- Advise federal employees on retirement planning options and TSP contributions
- Analyze pension fund performance and recommend investment strategy adjustments
- Conduct quarterly audits of pension plan documentation and participant records
- Collaborate with HR departments to resolve complex pension-related inquiries
- Develop educational materials for federal employees on retirement benefits
- Monitor legislative changes affecting pension regulations and implement updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration experience
- Deep knowledge of federal retirement systems (FERS, CSRS) and TSP
- Proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Oracle Benefits)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to financial detail
- Federal compliance certifications (e.g., CEBS preferred)
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder education
