Responsibilities
- Manage complex pension plan administration including benefit calculations and compliance with ERISA/KS statutes
- Provide weekend-shift client support for retirees and active employees via phone/in-person consultations
- Analyze financial data to ensure plan solvency and recommend investment strategies
- Coordinate with legal and audit teams to maintain regulatory compliance
- Develop educational materials for pension plan participants
- Lead weekend enrollment events and benefit workshops
- Maintain accurate participant records in state pension systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years experience in pension plan administration or benefits management
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, KS pension statutes, and IRS regulations
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling software
- Exceptional communication abilities for complex benefit explanations
- Weekend shift availability (Saturday/Sunday 8AM-4PM)
- Government/public sector experience preferred
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) designation a plus
